HOLY LAND are a relatively new hardcore band from Richmond Virginia who have been playing out up and down the East Coast for the past year.  They recorded their demo Real and it caught our attention right off the bat as soon as we heard it.   After a mutual friend put us in touch we are pleased to be putting out HOLY LAND on vinyl in a limited pressing of 300 copies.   Fans of heavy groove laced riffs and mosh parts along the lines of Trapped Under Ice and Expire and Only Living Witness will be in for a treat with this one.  Features guest vocals by Justice from TUI and Austin from Break Away.

Following the release of Real, the band is working on new songs for an upcoming release so stay tuned in the future.

SFU080 – Palm “My Darkest Friends” 

Drawing influence from all over world of heavy music ranging from Converge to Black Sabbath and making their sound their own, PALM  has been making waves in their native country since “MY DARKEST FRIENDS” was released as a cd last year on Alliance Trax.  It quickly sold out its initial cd pressing.   The release was followed up with multiple tours of Japan with Blacklisted, Nails, Trash Talk, and Black Breath among others, as well as festival appearances and solo tours of Japan.   They recently appeared at Chaos In Tejas followed by a short tour of California with NAILS and HARM WULF.   In September PALM will head to Australia for a month.

SFU015 – TRUE COLORS “Focus On The Light” LP

Originally released in 2008 on both Powered Records and Six Feet Under, “Focus On The Light” was the first full length for Belgium’s TRUE COLORS.    It’s now considered a classic of European hardcore as well as one of the all around great straight forward, straight edge records of the modern era.   Another full length and three more eps followed before they officially disbanded in 2010 (and unofficially play here and there), but most still consider this their crowning achievement.     SFU is happy to bring FOCUS ON THE LIGHT back into press for a new generation of hardcore kids the world over.

In case anyone hasn’t realized it yet, we have turned over mail-order duties to DEATHWISH INC.   You may have taken notice that our webstore is part of their massive hardcore shopping mall.

That doesn’t mean Deathwish Inc is now running SFU.  What it DOES mean though is you won’t have to deal with SFU having crappy mail-order and customer service anymore.

We’ve gone from having one person (me) running every aspect of the label from manufacturing and design to mail-order,  to having basically 2-3 full time mail-order people handling orders.
